Guy Meets GF’s Parents For The First Time On Thanksgiving, Steals Their Turkey And Runs Off (1)

Family, Relationships

ADVERTIsem*nT

The turkey is basically synonymous with Thanksgiving at this point, which carries some tragic irony, as we mostly think of it in terms of food. But like any larger family gathering, there is always the struggle of keeping everyone civil and nice long enough to give thanks.

A woman shared the tragic tale of a ruined Thanksgiving dinner after her daughter’s boyfriend stole the turkey. A year later, she shared an update to the whole story that was unfortunately just as sad. Netizens did their best to show support and leave some kind words for OP who had to deal with a downright horrible family gathering.

Sounds like turkey thief got his girlfriend hooked on hard substances, or she met him through hard substances and he keeps her on the hook by supplying her. Mary is going to end up at rock bottom or...Anyway, she knew about the turkey, and its the only reason she came to thanks giving and brought the trash bag with her.

I know the word sociopath gets thrown around lightly on the internet but if this story is true, Chris is a deeply unhinged human being.

Agreed. Something very wrong with him. Pre-meditated moves to ruin a family holiday and a funeral. Sad that Mary cant, or wont, get herself out of that relationship.

Screw Mary and her bastard boyfriend. I'd take this to small claims court just for being petty, after all he's admitted he did steal the turkey, and tell Mary that she can choose whether she wants to be with an overdrinking sh*tbag of a thief or if she wants family. Seems like she dearly needs a reality check.

Agreed! And screw the in-laws that blame OP and husband like they knew what would happen. They were in a bad spot, and I feel like any decent human being would allow their kid to bring their significant other to Thanksgiving (the first time, obviously not ever again). They are making the already poopy situation even worse. A good amount of that family reeks of disrespect and self centered-ism.
