Fahlbtharz is a Dwemer Ruins found on Solstheim.

Walkthrough[edit]

Falhbtharz[edit]

Going inside the Dwemer, head around the corner to the West and then turn to the South to head on forward. Go on down the slope through the wreckage and through the doorway at the bottom.

This will down into a leveled room. You will likely find Riekling. Going over to the far left-hand side. You will find a closed gate. You can open it using the button on the pillar just in front of the gate.

Going through that gate to the next room puts some traps in that you will need to avoid. There is a pressure plate in this room that triggers the traps in the next room. To the left, between you and a door, is a spinning blade. To the right is a flame trap.

Going to the left, jumping the spinning blade, you will find a chest. Just open it up to collect what you can.

After that, turn back to the South and head across the room and into the next section. In the next room, turn to the East and head down the corridor. On the Northern side you will find a small room nearby. In it you will find a locked chest (Adept level). Continue to the East after that and down the stairs beyond the next doorway.

In the Eastern room you will find a mechanism. Blast it with a spell to cause it to spin upwards and open the way forward. Go to the North then East through the newly opened gate.

Be on guard going through the gate because you can encounter Oil Spiders or Dwarven Spider.

Follow the spiders to the East. Take the ramp down into to the lower level. Turn to the South and then turn right at the corner and to the North.

Look along the left-hand side. You will see a dwemer pipe and another spell spinner. Go and burn away the webs then activate the spinner. This will open the gate ahead to the West.

Through the gate and down the stairs to the next door. Open it and move forward into the next room. You will encounter a leveled Dwarven Sphere and by going to the North you will encounter a Dwarven Spider.

Turn to the West after the fight and into the next room. Once inside, go to the South into the corridor. Open the door beyond it.

This will lead into a massive open room. There are some puzzles that need to be solved in here. Start by going to the West, down the stairs there, and following the walkway. There is a pressure plate which can trigger a nearby Dwarven Ballista.

Drop down onto the spinning gears and make your way to the Southwest across them. The second gear you cross will have a Guardian Spider emerge from the center of it. Follow these gears to the West and go through the door there. This will bring you into the Falhbtharz Corridor

Falhbtharz Corridor[edit]

In this room you will find stairs going up to the West then North and turn to the East. You will find it guarded by a Dwarven Sphere. This will lead you back to the main chamber.

Turn to the West and head across the room. You will find a Locked Gate (Adept) blocking your way. Inside you can find dwemer scrap and a chest that you can loot. Leave this section after that using the Eastern door.

Back in the main chamber, turn to the North and go up the stairs. You will find a lever and a pressure valve. Interact with the pressure to lower the bridge just to the North of you. This will give you quick access back to this point if you fall. Pulling the lever will rotate the central tower and cause a walkway to extend out to the central tower. Head to the East toward the central tower to move forward through the dungeon.

There is a Dwarven Ballista Master at the end of the walkway. Go to the end and drop down to the gears below you to the East. Head across the gears to the Eastern wall.

Once there, go on up the stairs and find the corpse of Eydis. Loot her body to find her journal: Eydis's Journal. Go past the body and head to the Southern side of this area. Activate the pressure valve to have the two bridges nearby drop down, giving quick access back up and easy access to the next section. Turn back to the North and then enter the door nearby Eydis, this will bring you into the Fahlbtharz Boilery

Fahlbtharz Boilery[edit]

Go on up the slope and past the gate on the left. Instead, go through the Northern doorway into the next section. There are more Dwarven Spiders for you to deal with here.

Follow the stairs down, turn to the South and head past the first set of angled metal pillars. Between the sets is a small alcove with a pair of small chests. Collect what you can and then continue to the South. Turn to the East and head up the stairs there. Be wary though because there is likely a Dwarven Ballista Master waiting at the end of it.

Going across the walkway here to the North you will come across Ulyn surrounded by broken spiders. Next to them you will find a random enchanted bow. Loot their body to claim their armor and Ulyn's Journal. This works to explain the boiler puzzle you are conformed with here.

Fahlbtharz Boiler Puzzle[edit]

To solve the Fahlbtharz Boiler Puzzle you will need to do the following.

There are 6 Spinners total, 3 to the left and 3 to the right of the Central Boiler. Each adds a specific amount of steam to the central boiler. Too much will trigger Dwarven automatons being released. After the third time, spinning blades will be activated. Number them left to right

You need to reach a total of 20 steam. This means hitting the Spinners #1, #2 and #5

This will open the door in the Southwestern part of the room. Head on through the newly opened doorway there.

Activate the spinner on the left-hand side to open a gate opposite it. Go on up the slope to the door there. This allows access back to the main chamber.

On your right is a lever once back in the main chamber. Interact with it to rotate the nearby tower and allow access across the main chamber. Go to the end of the walkway.

The walkway ends, but there are spinning gears on the right. Jump onto them and continue over to the next Western tower.

Go to the West from here to get to the next tower. To the left is another Tower with a Spinner inside it. Do not go inside the tower or step off the walkway you are on.

Aim for the spinner and and hit with an arrow or a spell.

It will rotate to allow you access to the Grand Hall. This could take a shot or two to get the desired result.

Fahlbtharz Grand Hall[edit]

Going through the door, you will enter the web filled Grand Hall. There are Oil Spiders to be found in this section.

Head up the stairs on either side of the room and then make your way to the platform above the center of the room. There are likely to be more spiders and a Dwarven Sphere.

This is the Final Puzzle. You will need to find and defeat the nearby Dwarven Centurions for their Centurion Dynamo Cores. They are not too hard to find because they are a guaranteed drop in this room.

To get the parts you need, you will need to find and fight the Centurions in this part of the hall. Look to the right of the stairs leading up to the gate. You will find one resting in the wall. Attack it to get it to start moving. The other is on the opposite side of the stairs. Defeat them and collect the cores. Head back to the platform over the center of the room.

Approach the Dynamo Actuators and interact with them. A Centurion Dynamo Core will be placed in each. This will elevate the stairs and remove both sets of bars.

Go on up the stairs and to the far southern wall. It is there you will find the Visage of Mzund. You will also find a Kagrumez Resonance Gem. Collect this for later use in Kagrumez. There are a few piles of gold and a leveled battle axe on the table there.

To leave, turn to the West and pull the lever there. This will reveal a shortcut back to the surface of Solstheim, just outside the Abandoned Lodge
