Ons huidige Learning Management System OnderwijsOnline is aan vervanging toe. Na uitvoerig onderzoek en gebruikerstests door medewerkers en studenten is Brightspace gekozen als nieuw systeem. De meeste opleidingen zullen hier vanaf september 2024 gebruik van gaan maken, een enkele opleiding volgt in september 2025.
Brightspace als basis voor het Digitaal Leerplatform
Brightspace is straks de basis van ons Digitaal Leerplatform (DLP). Op dit platform zullen in de komende jaren meerdere applicaties ter ondersteuning van formatief handelen en evalueren en (programmatisch) toetsen worden aangesloten. Het uiteindelijke doel: één leeromgeving met dezelfde look and feel voor meerdere gekoppelde applicaties.
Eén applicatie waarmee we nu al van start kunnen gaan is eJournal. Deze E-Portfolio applicatie biedt een flexibel ontwikkel- en assessmentportfolio, waarmee we studenten kunnen monitoren en begeleiden in hun leerproces.
Brightspace biedt voor lesinhoud allerlei nieuwe functionaliteiten t.o.v. #OO, zoals het toevoegen van formatieve quizzen aan je lessen, de integratie van video’s en documenten binnen je lesinhoud en een gepersonaliseerde weergave van cursussen voor studenten en docenten. Daarnaast is het gebruiksgemak van deze applicatie van grote toegevoegde waarde. Een voorbeeld hiervan is dat docenten straks met behulp van handige templates snel en eenvoudig een les kunnen inrichten.
Wat betekent dit voor jou?
Natuurlijk staat er nu op #OnderwijsOnline niet alleen lescontent, maar ook algemene informatie. Bijvoorbeeld over de praktijkbureaus, toetsing of de examencommissie. Omdat Brightspace is ingericht op cursusinhoud zou het kunnen dat deze algemene informatie ergens anders komt te staan. Het centrale projectteam is nog druk bezig met het uitzoeken van de meest geschikte plek hiervoor. Mochten hier straks trainingen voor nodig blijken te zijn, zullen deze uiteraard op tijd vóór de overstap worden aangeboden.
Iedereen die met Brightspace en/of eJournal gaat werken wordt hierin getraind. Iedere opleiding ontvangt meer informatie over de planning van de implementatie, waaronder deze trainingen. Elke opleiding heeft een contactpersoon die regelmatig samen zit met het implementatieteam van de academie om alles in goede banen te leiden en deze planning af te stemmen.

Brightspace is coming, that makes us happy!
Our current Learning Management System #OnderwijsOnline is due for replacement. After extensive research and user testing by staff and students, Brightspace has been chosen as the new system. Most programmes will start using it from September 2024, with a single programme following in September 2025.
Brightspace as the basis for the Digital Learning Platform
Brightspace will soon form the basis of our Digital Learning Platform (DLP). Several applications supporting formative action and evaluation and (programmatic) testing will be connected to this platform in the coming years. The ultimate goal: a single learning environment with the same look and feel for several linked applications.
One application we can already start with is eJournal. This E-Portfolio application offers a flexible development and assessment portfolio, allowing us to monitor and guide students in their learning process.
For lesson content, Brightspace offers all kinds of new functionalities compared to #OO, such as adding formative quizzes to your lessons, integrating videos and documents within your lesson content and a personalised view of courses for students and teachers. In addition, the ease of use of this application is of great added value. One example is that teachers will soon be able to quickly and easily set up a lesson using handy templates.
What does this mean for you?
Of course, on #OnderwijsOnline there is now not only lesson content, but also general information. For example, about practice offices, testing or the exam board. Because Brightspace is set up for course content, this general information might appear elsewhere. The central project team is still busy finding the most suitable location for this. Should training courses prove necessary for this later, they will of course be offered in good time before the switchover.
Everyone who will be working with Brightspace and/or eJournal will be trained in this. Each course will receive more information about the implementation planning, including these training sessions. Each course has a contact person who sits regularly with the academy implementation team to keep everything on track and coordinate this planning.
