In april gaan de eerste collega’s getraind worden in ons nieuwe systeem Brightspace! Achter de schermen zijn we hard bezig met de laatste voorbereidingen. Ook starten we in april met het overzetten van de onderwijscontent van OnderwijsOnline naar Brightspace. Om als HAN en dus ook als AMM eenzelfde ‘look and feel’ voor de student te creëren wordt er templates gecreëerd in Brightspace. Dit zorgt voor een duidelijke samenhang tussen de opleidingen, verhoogd de vindbaarheid van informatie voor de student en zorgt ervoor dat docenten direct met de inhoud aan de slag kunnen in plaats van met de lay-out van de pagina.
Tot slot is er nu ook een video met een rondleiding door Brightspace beschikbaar, om een eerste gevoel te krijgen hoe Brightspace werkt en eruit ziet!
Volgende week volgt ook de Engelse vertaling hiervan en we zullen deze link toevoegen bij dit bericht.
Goed voorbereid met pilots
Voor veel opleidingen wordt in 2024 OnderwijsOnline vervangen door een nieuw learning management system (LMS): Brightspace! Om goed voorbereid aan de slag te kunnen met de implementatie van Brightspace, gaan we binnen AMM aan de slag met een drietal pilots. Iedere pilot bestaat uit een deelnemende cursus en twee van deze pilotcursussen hebben ook een directe link met het project Technologie in Blended Onderwijs (TiBO). Omdat Brightspace een belangrijke rol heeft binnen het vormgeven van onderwijs in de blend, is er een korte lijn tussen beide projecten om elkaar te versterken. Daarom wordt een van de cursussen ook uitgewerkt als good practice van het aanbieden van blended onderwijs!
Ondertussen zijn de betrokken medewerkers getraind en worden de eerste ervaringen opgedaan hoe Brightspace ingericht kan worden voor het onderwijs en hoe het allemaal in elkaar zit. Vervolgens zullen twee van de drie pilots vanaf de start van het nieuwe semester ook live gaan voor studenten en wordt er écht onderwijs mee verzorgd.
Spannend, maar tegelijkertijd ook een heel fijn middel om goed voorbereid de grotere slag te kunnen gaan maken. In het tweede semester wordt dan voor een groot deel van onze opleidingen de implementatie gedaan om op Brightspace over te stappen, met ingang van het nieuwe studiejaar.
In de volgende nieuwsmail willen we alvast de allereerste ervaringen van collega’s met onze nieuwe applicatie delen, om hier alvast wat gevoel bij te krijgen! Wij zijn zelf erg benieuwd, jij ook?

In April, the first colleagues will be trained in our new system Brightspace! Behind the scenes, we are hard at work on the final preparations. We will also start transferring the educational content from OnderwijsOnline to Brightspace in April. In order to create the same ‘look and feel’ for students as HAN and therefore also as AMM, templates will be created in Brightspace. This ensures a clear connection between the programmes, increases the findability of information for the student and ensures that lecturers can work directly with the content instead of with the layout of the page.
Finally, a video tour of Brightspace is now available, to get a first feel for how Brightspace works and looks!

Well prepared with pilots
For many programmes, in 2024 OnderwijsOnline will be replaced by a new learning management system (LMS): Brightspace! In order to be well-prepared for the implementation of Brightspace, we will be working on three pilots within AMM. Each pilot consists of a participating course, and two of these pilot courses also have a direct link to the Technology in Blended Education (TiBO) project. Since Brightspace has an important role within shaping education in the blend, there is a short line between the two projects to reinforce each other. Therefore, one of the courses is also being developed as a good practice of offering blended education!
Meanwhile, the staff involved have been trained and the first experiences are being gained on how Brightspace can be set up for education and how it all fits together. Subsequently, two of the three pilots will also go live for students from the start of the new semester and real education will be provided.
Exciting, but at the same time a very nice means to be well prepared for the bigger battle. In the second semester, a large part of our courses will be implemented to switch to Brightspace, starting from the new academic year.
